SkyMove MENA, the first air cargo conference and exhibition dedicated to the MENA region, will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 10 to 11 September 2024. The two-day event will bring together key stakeholders, industry experts, and service providers from around the globe to explore and discuss the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the MENA air cargo sector.

The MENA region is one of the world's fastest growing air cargo markets. The region's trade, e-commerce, and non-oil export sectors are all expanding, which is driving demand for air cargo. The market is expected to grow from $19 billion in 2023 to $28 billion in 2028. The volume of air cargo in the region is also expected to grow, from 16 million tons in 2023 to 22 million tons in 2028.

As the region's largest economy, Saudi Arabia is a major player in the MENA air cargo industry. The Saudi National Aviation Strategy, which is part of Vision 2030, includes a $100 billion investment in the aviation and air cargo sector. This strategy targets extending connectivity to 250+ destinations across 29 airports, tripling annual passenger traffic to 330 million, increasing air cargo volume to 4.5 million tons, and establishing two global long-haul connecting hubs (Riyadh and Jeddah).

In its inaugural edition, SkyMove MENA is expected to attract over 400 attendees, 30 speakers, and representatives from 15 countries. It will comprise a comprehensive programme, including an industry-leading conference, valuable networking opportunities, and an exclusive business lounge showcasing the latest in air cargo solutions, services, technology, and infrastructure.
